International Seminar “Spiritual Heritage and Interaction of Cultures On the Great Silk Road “
On October 13, 2016, the Kazakh-Indian Foundation jointly with the Oriental Studies Institute named after A.Ya. R.B. Suleimenov held an international seminar on the “Spiritual Heritage and Interaction of Cultures on the Great Silk Road” with the participation of foreign researchers from India, Iran, Turkey and France, which examined the source studies and historiographic aspects of intercultural and interreligious interaction on the segments of the Great Silk Road in Central and South Asia On the example of ancient Türkic, Indian, Chinese, Western European, epigraphic, oral sources and materials. With the welcoming speech at the opening of the conference, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. H.K. Jain.Kazakhstan and foreign researchers from India, Iran, Turkey, France participated in the conference, including the former Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. A. Sadjandar, Indian researchers in the field of the history of art A. Pande and S. Pande, the director of the Iranian Cultural center in Almaty at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Keisari Jalali, and the Director of the Research Center for the Study of Islamic History, Culture and the Arts (IRCICA) at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. H. Ehren.
